7-Day Tour from Marrakech to the Desert and Back

On arrival at Marrakech airport, our driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city centre. You will have free time to rest after your journey and get to know the vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech. We suggest a first stroll around the famous Jemaa el-Fna square to feel the unique energy of this imperial city. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Marrakech.

Departure from Marrakech after breakfast, crossing the spectacular High Atlas mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Stops at the most impressive viewpoints to admire the landscape and take photographs. Visit to the Ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the setting of famous international films. Lunch at a local restaurant overlooking this impressive fortified town. We continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at a hotel overlooking the gorge.

Breakfast at the hotel with stunning views over the valley. Departure for the Todra Gorge, an impressive canyon with vertical walls reaching 300 metres high. Time to walk beside the river and explore this natural wonder. Lunch at a traditional restaurant before continuing to Merzouga. Arrival in the desert in the late afternoon. Camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi to witness an unforgettable Sahara sunset. Dinner and overnight at a Berber camp under a starry sky.

The day begins with the spectacular sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, a truly magical experience. After breakfast at the camp, we will devote the day to a full exploration of the Merzouga region. We will visit the lakes of the old mining pits and the village of Khamlia to discover the fascinating gnawa culture, and we will have the chance to visit a nomad family and learn about their traditional way of life. Lunch will be an authentic picnic in the desert, followed by free time to relax and take in the calm of the Sahara. The day ends with another stunning sunset over the dunes before dinner and our second night at the camp.

After breakfast at the camp, we will leave Merzouga heading for Tafraoute, passing through the picturesque region of Ouzina. This route offers unique desert landscapes and hidden valleys, giving an authentic view of southern Morocco. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way, a chance to try the regional cuisine. Arrival in Tafraoute is planned for the late afternoon, leaving us time to explore this charming village in the heart of the Anti-Atlas, known for its impressive rock formations and peaceful atmosphere. Dinner and overnight in Tafraoute.

The day starts with breakfast at the hotel before we set off towards Agdez. The journey takes us through the stunning Draa Valley, one of the largest oases in Morocco, with its countless palm groves and traditional kasbahs. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way, a chance to rest and admire the landscape. Arrival in Agdez is planned for the late afternoon, allowing us to explore this characterful village and its beautiful palm grove, a true oasis in the desert. Dinner and overnight in Agdez.

The last day of our tour starts with breakfast at the hotel in Agdez before we begin the journey back to Marrakech. We will cross the Anti-Atlas mountains, offering last views of the arid landscapes that characterise this region of southern Morocco. We will stop for lunch at a traditional restaurant along the way. Arrival in Marrakech is planned for the late afternoon, marking the end of our services. Depending on your flight time, we can arrange the transfer to the airport or help with extra accommodation should you wish to extend your stay.
