5 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Merzouga

Your 5-day tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with pick-up in Fes. We head south, passing through Ifrane, the “Moroccan Switzerland,” and the imposing Cedar Forest of Azrou. The day ends in Merzouga, at the gates of Erg Chebbi, where you will spend the night in a hotel, preparing for your desert adventure.

Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Camel Ride – Desert Camp

This is the most iconic day of the 5-day Fes to Marrakech tour with desert. After exploring the Merzouga area, the afternoon is dedicated to the long-awaited camel ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi for a stunning sunset. The night is spent in a Berber camp under a starry sky, an experience that defines the kasbah route.

Day 3: Merzouga- Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Enjoy breakfast at the camp, then a camel ride back to the hotel. After showering, we will begin our second day to reach the Todra Gorges, passing through the palm groves of Rissani, the oldest imperial city that used to be economically famous. We will drive directly to the Todra Gorges to enjoy this wonderful and famous canyon in southern Morocco. Lunch break, then we will head to the Dades Gorges for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou

We explore the Dades Valley and continue to the Valley of Roses. We visit Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” and the famous Ksar of Aït Benhaddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Overnight stay in Aït Benhaddou or Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Aït Benhaddou – Atlas Mountains – Telouet – Marrakech

Last day of our 5-day tour from Fes to the desert and Marrakech. We cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka mountain road, with stops for photos and an optional visit to the Kasbah of Telouet. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
