MOROCCO IN 6 DAYS TO THE SAHARA

Morocco in 6 days, as you know, our tours offer the tourist a vision of the real Morocco, with native guides who know all the culture and traditions of the country, far from merely showcasing the tourist view.
We have already discussed the 11-day tour. Now, learn about the 6-day tour:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MARRAKECH
Airport transfer and transfer to the hotel. Begin to enjoy Marrakech at night in a riad.
DAY 2: MARRAKECH – AÏT BENHADDOU – DADES GORGE
Starting from Marrakech, we will drive to Ouarzazate via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass ($2260$m), over the High Atlas mountains, appreciating the beauty of the landscape on the winding road through Berber villages.
Arriving at the famous Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, now a UNESCO World Heritage site and still home to many members of the Glaoui family.
Lunch is at the Kasbah before we continue to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs—the fascinating sand castles—before stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the city of roses known for its roses and its annual festival during the rose harvest in May.
Eventually, we will arrive at our hotel in the heart of the Dades Gorge. Overnight stay in our hotel/Riad.
DAY 3: DADES GORGE – TODRA GORGE – MERZOUGA
After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive back through the valley to see the incredible rock formation known as “monkey fingers” and the Kasbah of Aït Yul, still from the 19th century.
Leaving the Dades Valley towards Tinghir and the Todra Valley, you will see panoramic views of the ancient mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. Arriving at the gorge, you will pass under the $300$-meter high cliff, where many climbers come to practice their favorite sport.
Continuing to Erfoud and Rissani, where we will have lunch, and then depart for the village of Merzouga—the home of your guide Youssef and where your camel will be waiting for you. You will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea and a desert scarf before beginning your journey to the mysterious sand sea of Erg-Chebbi, guided by an experienced camel guide, of course.
Here you will spend your first night under the stars or, if you prefer, in a traditional nomadic Berber tent.
DAY 4: MERZOUGA – OUARZAZATE
After breakfast with the Bedouin family, you will take a peaceful camel trek back to the village of Merzouga, appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes—changing with the light as the day progresses.
Arriving late morning in Merzouga. And after a shower at the inn, we will depart for Rissani—once Sijilmassa—(the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, the current ruling family). With most women veiled and men hooded, this is a very traditional Moroccan city.
We will continue driving towards Agdez, via Alnif and Tazarine, before reaching the fascinating Draa Valley and your hotel on the edge of the Atlas Mountains, along which are hundreds of Berber Kasbahs.
DAY 5: OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH
After a luxurious breakfast at the Kasbah, we will head to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, enjoying panoramic views of the palm groves and lunar landscapes contrasting with the Berber villages and the Saghro Mountains; an area that has been a popular location for Hollywood films, including The Last Temptation of Christ, Jewel of the Nile, and The Mummy.
Our journey will continue over the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass ($2260$m) over the High Atlas mountains, before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech, where the tour ends.
DAY 6: HOTEL – AIRPORT
After breakfast, we begin the visit to the red city, the medina, and the Jemaa El Fna square, which is very famous. After the city tour, we will take you to the airport.
