Overview

Essaouira is the counterpoint to Marrakech: breezy, white and blue, facing the Atlantic. The medina is a UNESCO World Heritage site, the harbour is still a working port, and the fish is grilled in front of you, picked from the stall.

Highlights

  • Ramparts of the Skala de la Ville above the ocean
  • Fishing harbour with its blue boats
  • Fortified medina, a UNESCO site
  • Women’s argan oil cooperative on the way
  • Fresh fish lunch at the port
  • Free time on the beach
