CELEBRATE YOUR SPECIAL DAYS IN MOROCCO

Excursão ao Deserto de Agafay – Passeio de Camelo & Jantar com Espetáculo

How about taking advantage of your holiday trip and celebrating that special date you’ve been wanting to celebrate in a single event?

It may seem crazy, but it is increasingly common for people to do this. Whether it’s celebrating a birthday, graduation, a new job achievement, etc. Taking advantage of the special date and combining it with the trip of your dreams is the famous “killing two birds with one stone”!

To make it even better, what do you think about celebrating your special date in Morocco?

MOROCCO: A SPECIAL COUNTRY

Morocco is special in many ways. But we can say that in artistic terms, it is unique. It has been used several times as a setting to inspire and even as a filming location for movies, series, and soap operas.

Examples include Casablanca, Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Aladdin, James Bond, Mission Impossible, and Indiana Jones.

And if the country has been a source of inspiration for productions, it can also be the perfect setting to celebrate your special date.

Check out some tourist attractions for inspiration:

THE SAHARA DESERT

The Sahara Desert is the third largest desert on the planet, with a large part of it located in Moroccan territory.

There you can take camel rides and see a unique sunset. In addition, you can stay in tents in the middle of the desert, having the opportunity to experience the Arab culture and traditions.

MEDINAS

The Medinas look like a labyrinth of houses, shops, squares, and mosques. They can be summarized as old walled cities. It is in them that you will see artisans displaying their merchandise and traditional foods in the markets.

The oldest Medina in the Arab world is located in the city of Fes. Besides this one, you can visit other Medinas in the cities of Marrakech, Rabat, and Casablanca.

SOUKS

Souks are smaller markets found within large markets. It is in them that you will see handicrafts, spices, tapestries, fabrics, furniture, and typical Arab foods.

In Marrakech, you will find the Jemaa el-Fna square, which is a large open-air space where snake charmers and traditional dancers are located. Practically all Moroccan cities have souks.

MOSQUES

Mosques are religious symbols of Morocco, and every city has its own, always exuberant mosque. Check out a few:

  • Hassan II Mosque: It is the second largest mosque in the world and is located in Casablanca. Designed over the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, it houses enormous halls, one with a capacity for 25,000 people. It has another hall, in the basement, used for purification, and contains 40 marble fountains for washing hands and feet. Its exterior features the tallest minaret in the world, at 200 meters.
  • Koutoubia Mosque: Located in Marrakech. It has a 70-meter tower that can be seen from several parts of the city. Unfortunately, tourist visits are prohibited, but observing its exterior is enough to be fascinated.
  • Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque (El Karaouine): It is located in Fez, along with the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, considered the oldest university in the world.

We could continue talking about all the cities and heavenly places you will find in Morocco.

Therefore, imagine riding a camel in the Moroccan desert and making a quick stop to celebrate that special date for you, with the sunset as your witness?

It will be a breathtaking event!

Let Morocco surprise you!
